Imagine gathering in sunny Phoenix with the minds behind the technology that powers your business each day. Rather than interacting through screens and emails, you get the chance to meet face-to-face. That’s exactly what happened for a select group of Optimal Dynamics customers, prospects, and partners at our First Annual User Conference, held Feb. 12 and 13.
It was two days filled with more than just the usual conference fare. Yes, there were presentations and panels, but the real magic happened through informal conversations over meals and during visits to the Topgolf Swing Suite and Radford Racing School (where attendees had the chance to get behind the wheel).
The energy was infectious, with ideas flying faster than we could jot them down. Our time together in Phoenix was all about connecting, discovering new ways to enhance our daily operations, and ensuring that everyone walked away with new insights to make the most of our technology.

Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Real-World Application
The focus of the event was learning from highly successful Optimal Dynamics customers, hearing about their experiences, asking questions, and sharing ideas. This initial User Conference included both new and long-time Optimal Dynamics customers as well as select prospects and partners.
“Joining this user conference in the early stages of our partnership was invaluable,” said Jason Porter, sales and strategy manager at Grand Island Express. “The access provided to the Optimal Dynamics team, from the C-suite to our dedicated support and deployment teams combined with learning from successful customers in an intimate environment, will set us up for success moving forward.”
In addition to fun activities and opportunities to connect informally, highlights from the agenda included:
- Success stories from customers like BCB Transport, whose team participated in a fireside chat exploring the company’s journey with Optimal Dynamics and shared advice for those getting started.
- A deep dive into the mechanics and theory of the inner workings of the Optimal Dynamics engine — a topic that we’ll be focusing on in upcoming webinars.
- A look at the Optimal Dynamics roadmap and vision for the future.
“Getting to hear deeper discussions about the behind-the-scenes mechanics that go into the decision-making, it gives you a newfound respect and understanding for the intelligence of this program,” said one attendee.
Closing Another Banner Year for Optimal Dynamics (and Our Users)
The First Annual Optimal Dynamics User Conference arrived just as we were closing out our fiscal year. Looking back at the last 12 months, Optimal Dynamics has experienced exceptional growth. Highlights from the fiscal year include:
- 2x increase in net new bookings year-over-year.
- 56% increase in average deal size year-over-year.
- 3x growth in fully deployed customers.
- More than 16,000 trucks under contract.
- More than 100,000 optimal decisions generated daily.
On the heels of closing out this banner fiscal year, launching our User Conference was the perfect way to start the new one. We plan to hold the Second Annual Optimal Dynamics User Conference in February 2025, when we hope to welcome even more users and have even deeper discussions that help drive our customers forward.
Discover the Difference Optimal Dynamics Can Make in Your Business
Our customers are using Decision Intelligence to transform their organizations. Traditionally, transportation companies have asked team members to make real-time decisions based on more data than humans can consider at any given moment.
By adding Decision Intelligence to workflows, you’re able to harness available data and automate the decision-making process to the greatest extent possible. As a result, transportation companies are able to grow and scale their operations, increasing revenue per truck without increasing the size of their fleets.
“Optimal Dynamics, you have to start it now,” said Rick Larkin, Chief Information Officer at BCB Transport. “The days of us doing stuff in our heads are over. You have to trust the system.”
