Hello! My name is Lora Chen and I'm a senior Software Engineer at Optimal Dynamics. I am based in Connecticut. I've been whole-heartedly enjoying my 3 years with Optimal Dynamics.

Can you summarize your job in one sentence?

I'm overseeing the ingesting, cleaning, formatting, and simulating of customer data for Optimal Dynamics' AI-powered engine to ensure optimized and tailored decision-making processes for our customers.

What inspired you the most to join Optimal Dynamics?

While it was rewarding to serve as a DevOps engineer at a large logistics service provider, I wanted to join an vibrant and energetic start-up where I could access cutting-edge AI technologies. Optimal Dynamics was the best company that exactly matched my aspirations.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love working on challenging and innovative projects that push the boundaries of transportation optimization. It brings me joy to solve complex problems and witness the tangible value we create for our customers. Additionally, genuine team collaborations makes it a breeze to learn from talented colleagues who share common passions.

What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team, and what was the impact on the product/company?

I spearhead the development and implementation of the mapping engine project. I ensure that our engine receives optimal inputs for decision-making processes, resulting in more precise recommendations and ultimately enhancing our customers’ operations.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

I have developed the confidence and sense of accountability to single-handedly manage an entire project and deliver results.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I find peace and happiness in spending quality moments with my family, as well as nurturing the shared bond with my cat Diego and dog Baron.

Can you share a hidden talent that no one knows about you?

Self-proclaimed iconic memory - I used to memorize whole paragraphs by taking “snapshots” in my head!
