Tell us about yourself and how long you’ve been with Optimal Dynamics.
My name is Jaden Nguyen and I’m a Data Analyst at Optimal Dynamics based out of Garden Grove, CA. I’ve been working at Optimal Dynamics since March 2023, a couple of months after completing my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics of Computation and Statistics from UCLA.
Can you summarize your job in one sentence?
As a Data Analyst for the Solutions Engineering team, I am tasked with guiding customers through the entire deployment process, from calibrating our engine to suit their network to resolving any solution quality or platform issues post-deployment.
What inspired you the most to join Optimal Dynamics?
I was drawn to the opportunity to gain exposure to AI, and Optimal Dynamics presented a captivating use case of artificial intelligence within the logistics industry. Our innovative application of AI goes beyond the typical large language models (LLM) that people commonly associate with AI.
What do you like best about our company culture?
As someone new to not only the industry but also the workforce, I love the supportive and collaborative environment as well as our company’s emphasis on employee wellbeing.
What is unique about what we do at Optimal Dynamics?
Optimal Dynamics provides a high-level automated solution to help alleviate the complexity of manual decision-making in what I believe to be an overlooked industry.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I love problem-solving. Each customer presents unique, challenging, and complex issues during and after deployment, so there’s never a shortage of problems to solve! I particularly enjoy collaborating with various teams – Partner Integrations, Engineering, Analytics, etc. – to find solutions.
What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team, and what was the impact on the product/company?
I’ve had the opportunity to lead the creation of dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for both customer and internal usage. These dashboards have provided valuable insights into performance metrics, such as our product adoption and adherence, as well as engine solution quality and density.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
With the fast-paced environment, the Optimal Dynamics team has helped me strengthen my project and time management skills by being able to deliver tangible results on tight deadlines.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, playing video games with friends, and occasionally keeping up with various financial markets such as stocks and cryptocurrencies.
Can you share a hidden talent that no one knows about you?
Observation drawing! I can draw near-exact replicas by observing a subject or object.
